If you are using Google as your email provider and are receiving error emails stating "CROSStrax has been failed to send the email due to incorrect email (SMTP) settings or due to some technical error.", this is due to updates from Google.

Please follow the steps below to fix the issue:

  1. Enable 2-Step Verification:
If it’s not already enabled, set it up here:
    https://myaccount.google.com/security

  1. Generate an App Password (this is essential — regular account passwords won’t work):
    a. Visit: https://myaccount.google.com/apppasswords
    b. Select "Mail" as the app.
    c. Select "Other" (or enter your device name) as the device.
    d. Google will generate a 16-character password — copy it.
    e. Use this password in the CROSStrax SMTP settings.
