CROSStrax has the ability to integrate your email settings so that when you send email, the email comes from your email address.
To begin setting up the email integration in CROSStrax, click on Settings in the left-hand navigation bar, then click E-Mail & SMTP.
You will need to answer the first three questions.
Automatically add [email protected] email in CC of email dialog?: By using the email *yourcompany*@crosstrax.co with CROSStrax, you can send anything to your case notes in each case by simply emailing it to *yourcompany*@crosstrax.co. When using email auto-capture, make sure the subject of the email remains in the format CROSStrax uses.
Automatically add Sales Rep of Case in CC of email dialog for Case Management emails?: This option will automatically CC the assigned sales rep of a case (if applicable) to all emails sent from the case.
Use login user email as a replyto email?: If someone replies to an email sent from a case, the email will go to the email of the profile that sent the email.
After answering the questions, you will need to click "Yes" next to Would you like to configure the SMTP settings to integrate email?. You will then need to enter the following:
- *Server - This is determined by what email provider you are using. This can be looked up by searching for the third-party app email SMTP settings for your email provider.
- *Username - The username for your email login.
- *Password - The password for your email login. Please note that if you are using two-factor authentication, you may have to generate an app password to use in this section.
- *Use TLS / Use SSL - Transport Layer Security (TLS) and its predecessor, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), both frequently referred to as "SSL", are cryptographic protocols that provide communications security over a computer network. Here you will need to select Yes for the one and No for the other. This is determined by what email provider you use
- *Port - The port is like a channel that your email system uses to send messages over the internet. This is determined by your provider and if you are using TLS or SSL.
- *From Address - Select the email address you want to show as where your emails are being sent from.
Once you've filled out the necessary data, click the checkbox next to "Send me a test email" if you would like the system to test that your settings are correct, then click Save. Below are SMTP settings for commonly used email providers:
